The Blueberry Delight Juniper is a North Dakota State University introduction. It's a dense, low spreading juniper.
Its foliage color is dark green with a silvery-blue line on each needle. A female selection that only gets about 12" tall and spreads to around 4-5'.
Fruit is set when a male plant is nearby.
This low-growing juniper prefers a very dry location. The color turns to a coppery-bronze in fall. It features magnificent cones that look like blueberries from late spring right through to late winter.
Birds will go crazy for these! This evergreen shrub is perfect for massing in the landscape and is deer resistant!
